This transfer switch is just the main mechanical portion, and while wiring it into an automatic transfer switch isn’t difficult, it is meant to replace a part in a Smart Control switch which has hysteresis and detects failure conditions which should prevent damage or additional switching cycles.It doesn’t come with lugs, as described, and the handle sits in place but doesn’t screw it and isn’t retained. This isn’t meant to be a manual and automatic switch, the manual handle is meant to be an override, with the handle staying out of it unless it’s needed.The circuit diagram included shows how to wire it as an automatic transfer switch without all the additional control circuitry. It also shows an additional auxiliary switch which isn’t present on this assembly, but it does have two control switches, and an auxiliary, in addition to the main switches and the coils.Overall it looks good and capable, and matches the part it replaces well enough to swap without issue.
