The media could not be loaded.Exactly 17 days ago, I saw a mouse dash from my dining room into the kitchen shortly before midnight ?So I closed the kitchen (pocket) door and left a note for my housemate about it. “Fortunately” the next day he found the darn thing DROWNED in a bucket in the kitchen, which contained some grey water that we were saving for the garden.Alas not even a day later I saw ANOTHER mouse dashing around the house, and I thought that’s just great ?, coz I was otherwise occupied and couldn’t deal with it just yet. Then at 2:35 a.m. this morning, I heard a THUMP in my dining room. (Don’t even ask why I was up at that hour. But maybe the proverbial big one upstairs WANTED me to be up right then???) Sure enough I found an apple (from my own apple tree!) on the floor — with “bite marks” on it — which had actually “dropped” from the dining table (Photo 1).Oh how my heart sank, coz clearly this mouse had even made its way onto the dining table (where I keep my freshly-picked apples), further evidenced by its, uh, droppings on the chair that it had obviously used as a “springboard”.I was so upset that I immediately declared war, and got out the 6-pack of these Tomcat glue traps that I had purchased about two weeks ago. I also re-read some of the reviews, and decided to follow one reviewer’s advice and put 3 pistachios on each trap as bait (Photo 2).Lo and behold, not even 10 hours after I put the traps out, I walked into the kitchen and found the darn ? on a trap (Video). And though the trap is somewhat small and had been dragged a bit by the darn mouse, it clearly did its job and fast.Which is why I decided to write this review immediately, complete with photos and video.YES IT WORKS, though I suppose your mileage might vary — depending on the size of your critter…Upadate on 10 February 2025, almost 7 months later:I was away for 3 weeks, and when I came home, I thought I heard some “funny noises” last night again ?Well tonight I heard even more funny noises, but this time it sure sounded like some critter struggling. I thought, WAIT, CAN IT BE what I’m THINKING?!?!?!?!?!?Sure enough I traced the noise to one such trap (which I had practically forgotten about after all these months), and hard as the darn mouse tried, it could NOT free itself. So I picked the whole thing up, put it in a bag, tied it close, and put it out in the trash bin.BUT… not even 3 hours later, what did I hear but the SAME noises again, about 6 feet away and opposite the location of the last “capture”?Yep, this time the second darn critter was caught in its own trap under a piece of furniture (which I had also forgotten about), and so it’s goodbye, adios, “have a nice life elsewhere”, too!In short, these traps REALLY REALLY WORK, even months apart.Just for good measure, I’m gonna order more now, having used up half of the original 6.
